2009 Omlet cube and run for sale

Went to Cotswold Chickens last fri hoping to get a purple eglu and 4 new chickens to introduce to my existing 4 - run etc all set up, eager, ready to begin intros - but they had no eglu's in stock (despite website saying they had ) My fault - should of called first

 

Nice lady at CC said they were getting some in on Mon. Perfect! Except they didn't. Nor tues and now their website is saying thurs 20th

 

If I had just ordered direct from Omlet on fri I could have had it by now. Omlet website says first date to collect an eglu would be next tues!!

 

Do I continue to have faith in CC - to be fair the lady there seems v nice and helpful, says delivery out of her hands and down to Omlet - and hope to get one tomorrow

 

OR do I go ahead and order from Omlet and collect next tues

Hi Torrin, I do know that Jude at Cotswold Chickens has been let down recently on deliveries from Omlet, so it is best to call and check before going to collect. She ordinarily keeps a small amount in stock and can usually get them in quicker than they can be delivered to you by Omlet, but I understand that Omlet have been very busy and swamped by orders recently and hence the let down.

 

Let's hope that this is just a temporary glitch due to Omlet HQ being so busy.

The issue seems to be with Omlet's delivery problems rather than with CC, but as I can go and collect if their website gives me a collection date of next tues, I assume that will be ok?

 

But what if Jude calls me tomorrow and says Hooray, they're here! I'll kick myself for not having waited

I do know that she's without power today - local grid replacement apparently - but it's best to call next week to see if she's had any word from The Mothership.

Not that I know of - Crofts has some out on display, but when I last asked them, they didn't hold stock and only ordered in.

You can collect directly from Omlet HQ. It's not that great a distance between Cotswold Chickens and Omlet HQ, depending on where you're coming from. I collected my in person from HQ, with less than 3 days notice if I recall.

Good idea Andrew, but my understanding is that they just don't have the stock at the mothership, which is why they haven't been able to ship it out.

She let me know this morning that the eglu's were in and I now have a beautiful purple eglu and 4 new chooks

I got an Amber Lee, a Sussex star, a Bluebelle and a Speckled Star - all beautiful!

 

So far we have named Speckles (!) and Dory but I am refusing whitey and creamy as names, as we've already got a Blackie! My children need a bit more of an imagination
