kitbag
Hi guys! Just a quick question! I have got a few home videos of me as a baby and at school plays and other things like that. Do you know where I could get them made into DVDs instead?? They are those little tapes that you used to record onto with the tape recorder! I have a feeling Boots might do it but i'm not sure! Thanks everyone!! Megan xxxxxxxx
Lewis
Boots or any photo developing place should do it You can buy/hire machines (either vhs to dvd, or to your computer) if you have a lot to do

kitbag
sorry to be a bit thick, but what exactly is that?
Lewis
You'd plug your video player into the red, white + yellow phono cables ... and then the other end is a USB, so you'd plug that into your computer. It says it comes with a CD + software to do it
kitbag
Oh righty!! That makes more sense now! I will show my dad and see what he says!!
PurpleTree
My cousin has just done some of my gran's videos for her, she bought some leads (probably like the ones Lewis is talking about), and she had some software on her laptop. Played the video in the player, then burnt the DVD on her laptop.
ISCA
My DVD is a dual VCR/ DVD player/ recorder. It has the ability to copy VCR tapes onto a DVD. Maybe some friends neighbours have one? I am loathe to get rid of my video tapes so I still need a VCR player, old fashioned though it may be
Geoid
Little tapes... Do you mean: Compact Cassette: VHS Tape: DV Tape: (Large, medium or small)
Lewis
I think Megan means vhs + dv Fred - they're home videos + putting onto dvd
