Hi everyone

 

My pekin bantams are now three weeks old and I'm hoping someone can help sex them! I'm dying to know for sure which is what, but I reckon I already have an inkling!

I cant believe how cute and lovely they are, and how much they grow each day, its just amazing! I cant wait to see them fully grown and looking beautiful. They are so friendly already as well, and great with the kids.

Thats what I thought too! I'm gutted, I love Lola and desperately wanted a lavendar pek, oh well it was obviously not meant to be!

Boy, girl, girl. I have lavender pekins which are 5 weeks now. It's got pretty obvious that only one is a boy. Hang on in there a while longer, as my sister had Orville who she thought was a boy because of the well established comb. Orville was a definite girl in the end & lays beautifully. So there is still hope.

Ahh thanks for that Emma, I'm so disappointed and saddened that we wont be able to keep them all, I knew that this may happen but I didnt think I'd be so gutted to have to find them other homes. If its only one that is going, that wont be so bad at all.

 

How long was it until you realised Orville was a girlie and not a boy?

My sister kept waiting for a crow - but nothing...then one day , she started crouching when my sister put her hand near her - next thing a beautiful egg.

If you'd have lived nearer I'd have given you one of my lavender girlie chicklets. We are going caravanning in Kent soon too.

Thats a shame, you are a bit of a distance. I really want a lavendar though, I think I'll try the breeder we got these ones from and see if she has anymore. Unfortunately she didnt have any other lavendars at all when we collected these ones.
