Had a lovely moment with my hens this afternoon. I was watching them FR and it all became calm (no children running about) and I sat back on the bench. Chicken Bark and Amber were preening next to me (and preening each other which was sweet) and then they both just nodded off to sleep.

 

Do chickens eyelids come up from the bottom? That's what it looked like to me anyway. I enjoyed the peace while it lasted.

They have a third eyelid which comes up from underneath, it's almost clear.
