sjp Posted May 27, 2010 Share Posted May 27, 2010 (edited) with Faith beening broody and I'm going to get her eggs topic running on the hatching page that leaves me with Hope on her own at the moment there's no way she can go in with the other 5 due to Starfish and Roadrunner the both have a go at her when they are all FR not all the time but enough for me not to risk putting her in with them so my idea is to either plan A put her and Big red and Rusty in the new huse I've just about finished and hope that by the time any hatchling are to big for the broody coop that I can put the 3 girls into the main house or plan B put her in the main house and put Starfish and RoadRunner into the new house so that they then are lower down the pecking order when they all get put back together both houses have there own runs so they will be next to each other duering the day and FR when I'm about I should add that this week I've beening taking Big Red and Rusty out of the main house in a morning and putting them in with Hope for the day. then they all FR together when I get home your thourghts weclome Edited June 5, 2010 by Guest Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Starfish and Road runner aren't to top two girls thats Cyclone and Big Red Big Red and Rusty are the 2 that haven't had a go at Faith and Hope. Cyclone just has a peck just to say thats my space I'm the boss sort of thing Rusty's the bottom girl (not that stops her) of the 2 new girls only Faith as put her in her place once the first weekend they were out together then again the evening. the rest know that if they pick on Rusty then I pick them up which they don't much care for Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
sjp Posted June 5, 2010 Author Share Posted June 5, 2010 A quick update I put Starfish and Roadrunner in the new house for a week with there own run and Hope in the 'big' house with the other 3, with all 5 FR togeather when I was about. all has gone fine so yesturday afternoon when I put the back in the run so I could go shoping I left the internal run door open and left them to it.no blood was drawn just the normal get out of my way pecking sort of thing. upshot is that all 6 went in togeather in the 'big' house last night Hope had to be 'helped' in but that's nothing new, she doesn't like going to bed while there's still te smallest amount of light left they're all out in the run this morning Hope's eaten and drunk, the 2 trouble makers have tried to chase her but nothing major and she nows to get out of the way. so far so good Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
