Mooresey
Do normal chickens like being out in the rain? Ours love it and dont want to go in the coop. Can they get too wet and ill from it?
chicken bark
Mine love the rain too. I would assume that as long as it is not too cold and as long as they have a nice dry house to go in, then they should be okay.

They love the rain Edited to say that my hens have a covered run, but still choose to go & get wet As long as they have the choice of a sheltered area to go to ( not just the hen house) then they'll be fine. They should only go to the hen house to lay or to roost at night, not to shelter from the rain during the day. Jules.
2 years ago when my WIR was being built my hens got really wet even though they sheltered under the I brought them in to dry out, & even put the heating on for them so they could dry out (in July)
