Popcorn
Oh Sarah....Was it ones of those pains where you can't make a sound for about 30 seconds, then you scream the house down I broke my toe by stubbing it against the door frame -
buffie
Sorry about all the fractures, is there a theme developing? Wishing all a speedy recovery. Well if there's spare sympathy going can I have just a bit as my infected toe ( removing some nail after tripping in flip flops on log roll round eglu) has decided not to heal properly and go into a strange lump. Finally visited dr yesterday as going away next week and Mikey suggested that leg raised on cushion at night doesn't bode well. I have had to have antibiotics (never take them!) and may have to have lump surgically removed he said!! Oh dear the dangers of flip flops and log roll. I am going to buy steel toe caps for the autumn! Gina want that emoticon, where did you find it!? Bx
Popcorn
Here Buffie, Smilies/Screamies As I was reading your thread, I thought you were going to tell us your leg had to come off
Lesley
Buffie - you may find a Chiropodist much more help here, especially before you go away. I have a persistent problem with an ingrowing toenail. When it became infected GP said it needed antibiotics (which I declined) and maybe some surgery. Chiropodist gave me same-day appt. and sorted it out straight away, put a bandage on it and that was it - no more pain. It might be worth checking. buffie
Thanks Lesley, Good advice. I hate antibiotics and haven't been to the dr for so long. Just think my immune system could do without this before winter. I am taking echinacea and will see what I can do. Bx
Nicola H
poor Buffy the dangers of keeping chickens ........Tripping over a log roll. Hope it gets better before your holidays.........
buffie
Oh it could be worse Nicola, I don't really deserve much sympathy as the others are really suffering. At least I can now get on with things just can't wear shoes. Flip flops casued this and funny but as I am shoeless have wear them all the time. I am a walking danger zone! Yes beware of log roll and I have had many tales of the dangers of flip flops. Just hope I can wear my 'pretty shoes' on holiday!! Could cover lump with nail polish!! Ok, maybe not!
