Yup you guessed it nice day stinky stinky nestbox so decided to give it a clean (usually do really just been a bit tired) hosed and scrubbed and sprayed with gubbins and dleft i sun to dry to deter red mite when up bowls Jez - ran into Eglu and out again looking stressed - put it all back in in shot Jez (think speeded up Benny Hill but a chicken) and sighs of chicken relief. Wish i could have got on film it was sooo funny. Bit like when you need the loo and you elbow pensioners and small kids out the way before theres a puddle (i dont honest I am very polite)

I know what you mean - we had something similar once when cleaning out. Our Pepper was clearly desperate and doing chicken equivalent of crossing her legs until the next box was covered and filled with straw again!

Ours have been known to be so desperate for us to allow them in the nestbox again that they actually lay in the run in their dustbath.
