Um - how much should a chook drink each day?

 

Have changed drinking vessel and the level is not going down as much as I thought it would.

Is it bigger than the one before ?

 

If it is they are drinking the same but it isn't making the water go down as dramatically because there is more water there.

Hi, the textbooks say they should each drink about half a pint each day. However, the actual amount varies wildly, depending on the weather (they drink a lot more when it's hot), what else they eat (and how much water it contains), etc. etc.

 

As long as you're sure they are all drinking (e.g. if the vessel is bigger, can you littlest ones reach), then I wouldn't worry too much.

They drink more when they are laying too. So long as the water is easily accessible, they wont go thirsty.
