userfriendly1980
Hi! I am slowly going insane with my crowing male! I can just about handle him but I'm sure my neighbours will complain bout my male crowing every morning at 3am until 4-5am! I even bought him a eglu, lots of play things and 2 extra females (3 females now) and he's still not stopped crowing! I even covered the pen up so its dark.. no success! Will he always crow or is it a temporary thing as its breeding season? Help! I really don't want to get rid of him
Janty
They are worse in the breeding season, I'm afraid. Mine crow at about five-ish in the morning which isn't so bad. Can't say I notice it any more...it just blends in with the other birds.
userfriendly1980
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately mine doesn't blend in with the other birds... others sing and my quail doesn't have a singing voice haha! I wouldn't mind if mine was 5am.. 3am crowing sticks out like a sore thumb. Do you know when breeding season ends? Does it get better in the winter? Cheers
Janty
I hardly heard my lads in the winter if that makes you feel better.
