Adams Egg
Our 4 hens have a couple of feeders hanging in the run, very close to each other but the madams refuse to eat from one of them, so much so that it remains full and therefore the pellets will not be a fresh as they could. I have swopped them over but the same feeder does not get touched. I have washed them, put fresh pellets in, still the same behaviour. They point blank refuse to use it until the other is completely empty. So, are they well mannered, polite individuals, with impecable eating habits or are they being put off by something I can't eliminate. If I go down to one they will use it but I find two better as it reduces the feeding squabbles. Any thoughts
Mollie333
Picky little madams, i'd say! My girls have two waters and two feeders (one broken, so you can't 'fill it up' if you know what i mean, its just like the bowl..) and they rather eat out of the broken one.. which they broke specially. and only one water gets used
