craftyhunnypie
Hi everyone - I just wondered why my Blanche (Pepperpot) has really oily looking feathers. My Gingers feathers are both fluffy & soft looking, but Blanches look so like stuck together? She's not ill or anything and they have been like this more or less since I had her last June. Is it normal???? Emma.x
hillfamily
Our Pepperpot has very shiny feathers , wouldn't say they were oily, just very very shiny compared to our other girls who appear to be very soft and fluffy. When it rains the water just rolls off Babs whereas Belle and Twinks who are very fluffy get soaked.
Martin B
I agree with Pam, my Pepperpot is the same.
craftyhunnypie
Thanks for that - come to think of it raindrops form globules on Blanche too! And best bit is when I empty a pot of sweetcorn and Blanche gets in the way - she gets sweetcorn juice drops on her back & they just run off too! The pepperpot feathers must be more like duck feathers - a bit like a chook in a rain coat! Emma. x
Martin B
I thought ducks were like that! They must be similar!
