Alis girls
Yesterda the girls were making such a racket for no reason to be seen and so inlike them - i opened the Eglu back to investigate as they were in the Eglu and got a faceful of Jezebel in a right flap. She is my timid one and wont be picked unless we do it at dusk or when her head is in the glug . She stayed out all afternoon despite 6 kids and a paddling pool and lots of water, me a friend Oh and a toddler. later when quieter I let the other 2 out and they were fine. They have shade water and space but I have never seen them so cross. I must admit the humidity is a killer and the urge to become a naturist is ver appealing. Joking aside as anyone else got a hot cross hen/s?
patsylabrador
I've been thinking that, especially yesterday and today. They're making a sound that has a definite whinge to it. I put a washing up bowl with about three inches of water and cabbage leaves in it and they've been quiet since. I thought I'd refresh it and put a corn on the cob in there later. Roobaloo
Our magpie, Toph, has been very stroppy lately....we can only assume it's heat related.
patsylabrador
Cooler today and some rain and the ladies are back to normal behaviour.
Guest
My pekin's were very irritable yesterday. All chosing to sit away from each other but that is understandable having the equivalent of a enormous fleece on. All the others were fine though. Just a little hot.
