Silicone Worms

Recommended Posts

My chickens are going around all the doors taking the white silicone sealer!

They must think its worms!

When they get a bit out they all chase each other around trying to get it..its hilarious !!

But, they are eating it..one of them eat a bit a good 15cm long

I'm a little worried she will digest it

And what can I do to stop it ?

starfish my barnbar is a begger for eating silicone and as been ever since she's been FR which is nearly 12 months now.the bigest bit was about the 150mm to. but as to what happens to it after she's eaten it is beyond me as I've never found any when poo picking she's certainly not under weight and lay ok

Just to warn you, my Flo ate silicone and we hadn't realised, she got very poorly and spent 5 days in the Avian Vets. It was only after some medicine made her poo out a huge piece that we realised the problem. It had got stuck in the stomach and she nearly died.

A very large vet's bill followed!
