escaped chicken

hi all...

a little new to this... Have had Babs and Ginger now for 6 days, and this is the first day out for them. We've had to move the eglu and run becuase the neighbours complained (they were concerned about health and also the birds made their dog bark, it's best not to ask!) So, anyway we've repositioned it all, and Babs has made the great escape and is currently in hiding under the bushes... we've tried to pick her up but she's just not having it - now I think she's just a little frightened about it all. Ginger is brilliant, loves being petted, loves being picked up, infact she's really quite inquisitive about everything..

Anyone got any great ideas, becuase I'm all out of them, and at this rate Babs won't be home for sleepys (and I'm worried she won't be able to get to any food or water :( )

When moving the house and run you should always leave them in the house when moving and then keep them in the house and run for a few days after because it is a shock for them. So they need to get used to their new surrounds and knowing where home is.

thanks Rhys, I wasn't sure whether they could be left in the eglu or not, so we let them out before moving them... as I said Ginger was really easy to pick up, Babs on the other hand was having none of it. Thankfully Ginger seemed to come to the resuce and persuaded Babs out of hiding (that and a little bit of tomato ).

Alls good now :o)
