Hi,

I have an eglu classic and am building a WIR (5m x 2m) for it - any idea how many chooks I could keep in it? Currently I've got 2 hybrids as one sadly met mr fox, I've been told I need to replace her with 2 more. Will they fit ok in the eglu? I'm tempted by a cube but not sure I could get it out of the run to clean easily.

Thanks for any advice

I've had five sleeping in mine, provided your walk-in run is big enough they will be fine at night as they fold up quite small. I think the recommendation is three, but that's with the Eglu run. Ain't "Ooops, word censored!"ody Here also has five sleeping in a classic, too.

Great thanks that'll save me splashing out on a cube though they do look tempting. Just got to choose which extra chickens to choose now to go with my goldline and maran cuvee...

I was also thinking about the eglu go as I've heard that folds flat so might be easier to take in and out of the run though I don't like the lack of egg port. If the run has a roof and 1" decent mesh on it are the chickens safe to stay out at night? I wouldn't normally but our neighbours are looking after them when we're on hols and that would make it much less of a worry for them
