greyhoundgirl
At one point last week we were getting 3 eggs a day from the 4 girls. Now nothing, zero, nil. Do any of you wonderful people know why? Nothing has changed, same food etc. I wormed them with Flubenvet a few weeks ago so I'm thinking it's not worms. But can anyone help please. Egluntyne
Are they free ranging and laying them in the garden?
greyhoundgirl
They 'free range' but in a penned off area of the garden. Checked all possible areas for laying and nothing. I forgot to say that one of them was showing signs of being broody on friday but we cut off the nesting box and dunked her in cold water and she's been fine since. Nesting box now open to all, even though they mostly lay under a bush anyway.
Jules.
Try worming them- I only realised this weekend why my girls have gone off lay, they've not been wormed since January Got three eggs today though after the girls were treated
greyhoundgirl
I did worm them about 5 weeks ago but I'll do it again just to be sure.
~lizzy~
ive had problems with mine since last autumn, now i get one egg every now and then. (from 2)It all started when i moved them to a larger walkin run. It did improve when they went back to the smaller run. ive given up now ......maybe they are just getting old, what age do they stop laying?
