little cluckers Posted July 6, 2010 Share Posted July 6, 2010 I can't believe that there is nothing at all in the news about the recent hurricane in Mexico! I have a friend who lives in Monterrey city and he has been without water now since hurricane Alex hit on Thursday with no sign of it coming back on. Whilst it had been downgraded from a hurricane it still caused devastation. He says they are all praying for rain so they can collect it in buckets and use it. He says the price of bottled water has increased by 5 times! I am so worried about him, it's surely only a matter of time before disease breaks out? I know that there is nothing I can do other than offer words of support but I'm just so surprised that there is nothing in the news about it after all it has been declared a disaster zone. We had friends who saved up a long time to go on their 'dream' holiday to Mexico a few years back and they had a hurricane whilst they were there. I hope they get some help soon.
