Sooo much pooping

sam is the proud mum of 5 chicks she has sat on 11 eggs 6 have hatched we lost 1 this morning now she is pushing the remaining eggs out of the nest have now taken them all away from her and put them under another broody who had no eggs the eggs were due to hatch today so hopefully there maybe more babies in the morning have my infra red head lamp set up just in case the chicks are rejected fingers crossed

Good to be prepared hazard I hope that the rejected eggs hatch.

 

I've just had one late hatching egg rejected from a batch. It was already pipping, so I hatched it myself by keeping it war against my body. The resulting chick is now thriving under heat at home and getting ready to have a

try at going in with the others tonight when they are all sleepy.

one of the rejected eggs has a hole in the shell and is chirping away hopefuly baby no. 7 by morning think i'll go check on progress in a mo never been so nervous

just checked on eggs still lil hole in shell there is movement in there i will just leave alone till morning as everyone is now gone to their beds

lil chick finally hatched at 5pm to night thought it was never going to make it out just hope it now makes it through the night then there is 4 eggs to go
