Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Hi!

 

I'm depserately trying to help a friend who has been badly let down by chicken suppliers today.

She was meant to be taking delivery of a coop, run and chickens as a surprise for her 3 children, but the suppliers have now told her they haven't got the right birds for her and won't deliver the coop to allow them to source birds elsewhere.

 

I know it's a long shot, but does anyone know of anywhere she can get an ISA, Rhode Island Red, Speckledy and a Sussex Star POL this weekend?

 

I'm not sure exaclty where she lives, (she's an online friend) but she's happy to travle within reason.

**Storrs poultry** outside Sheffield, if she is prepared to travel that distance will have most of those, and they also sell a range of wooden housing too.

I live in Manchester and I got my chickens from happychicks.co.uk which is based up around Fylde. It is about 1.5 hours to get there but the chickens are fab. They also have coups and anything else you need.

I live in derby, i travel to near burton on trent to get my girls.

They have a lovely selection and should have what she wants, but im not very sure if there Hybrids are ready to be taken away as POL hens, as i visited a few weeks ago and they looked like 12 week old baby birds. Although but very cute, would not get eggs for quite a while..

Then theres Sunnyside poultry which specify in Hybrids and POL hens, its on the bored of Derbyshire, Staffordshire and Leicestershire ect. I've heard good responses off my friends about this poultry, and it also sells basic and medical starter packs.

Thank you so, so much for your replies.

 

Unfortunately, my friend wasn't able to do anything this weekend...as the original sellers have still got her £200 deposit.

 

However, she's now planning to go to happychicks and buy an eglu and some girls, so thanks to everyone for their suggestions - you've saved the day!
