Chicken boarders

Maureen is on Baytril and Flagyl and Daktarin gel to treat her sour crop.

I have heard of people giving them live maggots. Would it help if I gave her some maggots, or is that just for use when they have impacted crop?

Live maggots are used on blocked crops, they wont help with sour crop sadly

I don't know how long its supposed to be before the meds start to work. She has been on the Baytril since Friday and The Flagyl since Saturday.

Is there anything else I can do to help her?

 

I suppose I'm probably getting a bit paranoid because one of my other girls died with sour crop a couple of months ago. And Maureen really is so special to us, she has been through so much.

I really need to make sure she is going to be ok.
