Get an incubator with an automatic turner!!!!

I've been getting up at 5am for almost 3 weeks so I could turn them manually...and yesterday was Day 21 and I've nothing to show for my exhaustion.

...plus, if you do it manually, you fret about every touch (or at least I did...)

Never again.

I have a manual turn inccy (as well as two autos) and I turn the eggs before I go to work, when I get in and before bed

The turnings dont have to be equally spaced as long as its an odd number of turns (so they are on different sides each night) and there are a couple of hours or so between turnings - there is no need to get up at 5am. As long as you are gentle then turnings should not decrease your hatch rate

In my case it was just how it could fit into my day (between mucking out stables, walking dogs and work!!) whilst still getting an odd number of turns more than 2hrs apart...!!

I'm just bitter because I've got nothing to show for it!! Come next spring I'm sure I'll be itching to try again...
