Sooo much pooping

Took honey to vets again today as she was still sneezing and I thought she felt thin and not much in her crop. He gave a different antibiotic in an injection and she has perked up already She is a little underweight so need some suggestions for fattening up food - I have made her a mash with pellets, cous cous, grated cheese, mango and cucumber which she loved

Mealworms are a good one, maybe rinsed tuna, or straight wheat? Just be careful she doesn't OD on the cheese; it'll contain salt, I'd try to stick to 'normal' hen food but just give her more of it!

another vote for tuna in mineral water (or brine but well rinsed) and mealworms - plus mixed corn (nice a fattening but might make her hot?). Go easy on the cucumber unless she's not drinking - in which case it'll do her the world of good as a way of getting fluids into her. If she's drinking, then the cucumber will be just filling her up but not giving her calories... but if she's off her food, it's better to get something in than nothing!

 

I've made it all sound complicated now, haven't I? Sorry - it's not, but it just depends on your girl
