Maureen Lamb
hi, can anyone help me. I am new to incubation. I had eggs in the incubator waiting to hatch. Two Columbine Pekins were born yesterday on time. Both healthy, they run all over the other eggs as if it was a game. One is told to keep them in the incubator for 24 hours and not to turn the eggs three days before hatching. Well these two did make sure they were turned. 24 hours old they are now in the Novitcal brooder doing very well, coated and feathers on their feet, eating and drinking well. The other egg's have gone very still and quite, where before you could hear little cheaping from them. Help!
Egluntyne
Some basic info **here**. Have you checked the humidity? Might be worth hanging on for another couple of days.
Redwing
they will nudge and roll the other eggs, they wont cause them any probelms though If you ahve the brooder all ready and the Pekins are nice and fluffed up then quickly lift the lid and take the two chicks out getting the lid shut again as quickly as possible leave the other eggs a couple more days before worrying
