I love my 4 girls they are amazing. Silver jumps up on you if you stand in the run long enough and they are always just waddling around doing something but DON'T LISTEN TO THE BOOKS! They do dig and although I don't mind in the WIR I get in trouble when they are in the garden because they destroy mum's plants. I get told off for the big girls doing it but the pekin's have now started so now they don't go out as often.

Yep, they certainly do make lovely little craters. Then again the big girlies just plough through shrubby plants and then the whole thing gets trampled into the ground. Silkies are even worse with their extra toes - now there is a bird that would save a farmer having to get out his tractor.

They have dug holes just big enough for their bodies to sleep in. I was watching them the other day and mum decided to use them for more plants to go in the holes.

It is like a plough plus plant hole service.

Mine dug themselves out of their ark yesterday and I found them charging around in the WIR with the big girls!

Mine have tires in their WIR and they are sent in to dig holes then get pushed out so the big girls can dust bath

Unfortunately one of the cats has discovered that the craters all over the place make nice cat loos.....cue 50ft x 50ft grass square, one crater right in centre in full view of the world, one cat squatting over said crater

Lol well I actually have nothing to do until I start college in september. Well no I am volunteering at a raptor foundation and a zoo but only 3 times a week maybe 4 so I have lots of time. And can't trust MD's to not fly off.

 

Maybe put a wind brake around it ? make it a toilet give it a few mouse mags to drool over ?
