Does anyone know where i would be able to buy a female japenese quail from, I have a mate for her because he needs a new partner as his has passed away. Preferably cream as that what she was, he is ok at the minute as he is with another quail pair, so he is not compltetly on his own.

Omlet sell Jap quail, I think they're £8, but just call and ask

 

Intros can be tricky with quail, so take things even slower than you would with chickens

Oh I never knew that Is there a link? I live in Northampton, yes they are funny to introduce We introduced a jap pair to our californian pair recently and they got along just fine until something killed the little cream female jap.

Just click through the Quail Eglu section, as if you were going to buy one and you can get up to 8 with it ... but I'd just phone and ask can you buy them separately

they have japanese quail at Bell Plantation garden centre in Towcester (just off the A43) at the moment, £18 for a pair if you have no luck anywhere else...
