Roobaloo
Has anyone had any problem with ordering feed from Wiggly Wigglers? I decided to buy 25kg of their layers mash but it arrived this morning and both bags (it arrives as 2 x 12.5kgs) are split, and so it the outer (shipping) packaging... I don't want to assume they sent out damaged bags but the damage is in different locations, so it doesn't look like it's been pierced or crushed. I'm really disappointed as it was my first order from them and now I need to throw the lot away. I also bought some Live mealworms, which arrived via Royal Mail, safe and sound...and much appreciated by the chooks!!
Lydia
I've never ordered chicken feed from them but regularly order wild bird food, live mealworms, plants and other bits and bobs from them and never had a problem. They're usually quite pleasant to deal with so I would give them a ring.
Roobaloo
I've heard lots of good things about them...Just wanted to make sure it was courier related rather than anything they may do before I contacted - a local feed merchant seems to think it's acceptable to just tape up split bags of animal feed (including haylage for horses!!!) and still try and flog it!! Obviously if 10 people replied saying they'd had the same problems, I'd be calling up and demanding my money back! As I say, hopefully it's a one-off because of rough handling by the courier! Margaret
Do let them know had the same problem before now, and was replaced straight away, there customer service is fantastic BUT the couriers are rubbish. Also the mash I had this time is so powdery that mine have refused to eat it phoned on Monday and complained and some more has been sent today so hopefully will be ok, will check quality when I get back from work. Has anybody noticed this did ask when phoned and was told no, cant be just me did use the old porridge trick and are now eating it but really dont want to do that to often. Roobaloo
Well, I dropped them an email and have had a reply back in under an hour - Already very impressed!!! Exactly as you said, Margaret - perfect customer service, it's clearly just the courier which is a shame. They've already organised the replacements!! So let's hope it's second time lucky... Shame to hear it was powdery...perhaps it was the last of a batch?? If that makes sense?? Hope so, mine aren't keen on powdery stuff either....25kg of feed will last them quite a while, that'd be a lot of mash!!
scarlettohara
Glad you had a good outcome as I have just ordered growers and layers mash
Roobaloo
Haha! Oops...! I'm definitely going to inspect the next package when it arrives!! I don't want to be trying to get rid of 50kg of spoilt feed!!!
docsquid
I've always found them to be excellent, and never had any damaged items. I order the 12.5kg bags of layers mash with bokashi bran, and it has always arrived in top condition. Couriers are very variable around the country, so I guess you just got a bad one! Mercedes55
I bought some bokashi bran from them and it arrived after about 2 days and was absolutely fine. The only negative thing I would say about them is that they didn't email me to let me know when they had despatched the item. Most other places I order from online do let me know when my order has been despatched and some give a tracking number or even a 1hr delivery window which is even better
Roobaloo
Thought I'd best update this!! (completely forgot about it!!) The replacement bags arrived....the plastic wrap was undamaged...only to open it up and find that the paper feed bag was torn!! Couldn't believe it!! However, the hole was small and not much had come out and as the outer bag was undamaged, we decided to keep it! I did email WW to let them know as it basically looks like they're being grabbed by the plastic large side and the bags inside are tearing (think of it like picking your pillow up by the 'flat' side of the case, you grab the pillow inside too...but obv. a pillow weights so little but the feed bags weight 12.5kg!!) so I think it's rough handling by the courier. They've said they'll speak to their couriers about how it's handled in future!! As for the layers mash - the girls LOVE IT!!!!!!!
brambles
Love the products and customer service has always been good. My dead fig tree was replaced with a resplendent example which looks like it's going to fruit this year.
