kazza45
Hi I have recently added four chickens to my brood and two of these are rescues. All going well but this morning when I went to let them all out I noticed something horrible in some overnight droppings. I can only presume it is a worm of some kind. It looked like very thin pale spaghetti and looked long. Have removed all droppings now. I treat my chucks with verm x. Do you think this was a worm or two? What should i do now? Am presuming its from one of the new girls. Many Thanks Karen x
Snowy
Verm X is generally considered to be more of a preventative wormer. I would dose them all with Flubenvet. Hard to know whether it was from your new hens or your existing girls, but they all need doing together.

Snowy
Yes there is no egg withdrawal period with flubenvet, unless you are giving them a higher than normal dose.
The Dogmother
Worm them all together as Snowy has said, and sprinkle the litter in the run with ether BioDri, Stalosan or Ground Sanitising Powder.
