lillybettybabs
I have been having problems with Margo for some time, It all started with her comb disapearing a few weeks ago. She drinks a lot and does vast amount of watery poo, she will eat very well one day then be on deaths door the next day. She has had two lots of anti bios and i have also had a sample test done for worms which came back normal. I am at a complete lost as to what to do, She refuses yogurt, tuna and egg but will eat meal worm and shrimp mix, I have tried some pro biotic powder apple cider vinager, Life Guard and Poultry tonic , Its as if she needs some Yakult . She looks pale and anemic ( i have check for red mites and treat every week anyway) they get ivermectim spot on once a month. Any advise before we do the deed? Egluntyne
Copious drinking could suggest that she might have something wrong with her kidneys. Might be worth asking the vet.
Plum
I would have a sample of droppings sent for virology, bacteria, parasites and fungal infections to identify the cause. The vet can send one or go through Retfords at Nottingham.

She had a good day yesterday and ate lots and poos in the tray aren't so runny, I tried to put one of the other chickens in with her but they have all now rejected her . She has eaten a third of a ramkin pot in grit in one day . I will watch to see if she puts some weight on now and see how she goes. I have ordered some bokashi bran today to see if that can help her.If she does pull through i think i will have to getting her a little friend.
