HELP aggressive chicken

I have a general plastic drinker with legs to keep it off the ground however each week when i empty or clean out my chickens the drinker is coverd in green grime how can i stop this from happening?

You need to wash it under the tap every day when you fill it up, then give it a really good scrub once a week. Keeping it out of the sun will help, as will adding ACV to the water.

 

I have two sets of the feeders and drinkers, and give the dirty ones a good rinse, then pop them all in the dishwasher on their own programme.

 

Viratec is a good poultry disinfectant.

I swopped to a metal drinker and it hardly gets any algae on it now, they are more expensive but in my opinion they are worth it. And there are often cheaper ones available on ebay.

Hot soapy water and a scrub once a week and a good blast with a hosepipe in between will keep them clean.
