pipistrelle
I'm sure I remember someone posting that their chickens ate corn on the cob fresh? I've just bought a lovely treat skewer and some fresh cobs but when putting them in the run my girls are doing that " and this is what exactly?" thing that chickens do so well Will they eat it once they're sure it's not going to attack them or should I be cooking it first? Thanks

Ain't Nobody Here
They should get the hang of it once one is brave enough to have a taste . Mine love them raw or cooked (but hated the dried ones from Pets at Home ).

Henhathnofury
Fear was their first response but they soon learn. They do - being lazy - prefer them cooked. But they will eat them raw too. Try and sprinkle some loose sweetcorn over the top and hopefully even a small brain will connect the two!
