WildeWoman
Received a call back from Bill Salt, a rabbit re-homing centre in Leek today offering to take our rabbits next week. Said he has an acre of land where my rabbits will have their own hutch/run until they are re-housed. Has anyone any knowledge of him? He seems OK and of course I can have a look, but I already feel guilty enough and need to make sure that they will be OK? Kids made such a fuss of Flash when I bought her in the house tonight that I am wondering if I just need to make the bunnies more accessible. We have had to remove their previous run (builders!), but they have the Eglu and 2m run which isn't great for getting into! I thought about buying a large puppy pen to utilise as a 'bonding station' where the kids could sit with them, but a bit worried that my territorial bunnies may not appreciate this?? Anyone use these things and got in with them? Thanks! Hi - I'm hoping you guys can give me some suggestions here... My kids have lost interest in their rabbits and I want to re-home them before the builders arrive at the end of the month, as they will have to be confined to their run at that time. I have put them on the Omlet Sale Board but really am not happy with advertising in the local paper. Can anyone suggest a re-homing centre/individual in the Staffordshire area where I can be assured that they will end up with a good home?? Thanks folks! WildeWoman
Hubby went to take the rabbits to this re-homing centre in Staffordshire tonight - and bought them back. Apparently it was "very rough" and not at all the sort of place where you would want to leave a rabbit, even for a short period of time. So - two things, can anyone recommend anyone else and secondly, avoid this one!
Deb Dav
Well Done to your hubby for bringing them back as he wasn' t happy with the place . Afraid I can't help but good luck with re homing them
WildeWoman
Thanks - he said the place was full of rabbits, so most people must just leave them anyway! They'll just have to go back into the Eglu and run for now and I'll try and get an extension to tide me over. I'm going to have a chat with him when the kids are in bed, because the place needs to be looked at ....,,
