I know it's probably a silly question but is there a way of working out much aubiose you need to cover the floor of a run. Our local supplier is quite a distance away and we don't want to have to go back and get more if we haven't got enough, but we also don't want to end up with bales of it left over either.

Just wondered if there was a general rule of thumb on how much to use per square yard or metre :D

Now I'm a bit worried about the aubiose not keeping dry. We are having a run with a roof but I guess the rain will still get in as the rain gets into the Eglu run now despite having corrugated plastic on the top of it. I'm wondering if woodchips would be better as that is what we have now, but I know that aubiose is supposed to be better for keeping clean and mine do seem to make quite a mess :?

Can I ask how you pronounce "Aubiose". I want to get some at the weekend and I don't want to embarass myself!

"Oh bee ose"...or at least, that's how my friend says it (her horse is stabled on it...!)

If unsure, just ask for hemp-based horse bedding... or Hemcore!! Which is an alternative brand and easier to say!!
