in anticipation of moving everyone into the WIR... how deep should the litter be? we will have 6" kickboards all round, but looking at some of the pics on here I see some people use masses and some use much less. I am getting loads of free woodchip from a local tree surgeon; the run will have a roof and clear tarps on the sides when the winter comes. I dont want to fill it up unneccesarily (given that I'll have to clear it out!) and the girls will have FR access to a long run all day every day.

I started off really thick maybe 4-5 ins but now use about 2ins and that is good.

great, thanks Plum! I've always kept mine on grass, so this will be a new experience for me...
