Darren Beaumont
I noticed this morning that all four girls have poo streaks from their vents down their knickers. They all look and are behaving normally, all have laid eggs. I regularly use verm-x and can't spot any worms in their poo. Should I be worried? Egluntyne
It could just be the white urates part of the poo sticking to the feathers and showung up more obviously if the hens have dark feathers. It could also be a sign of a worm infestation. Might be worth trying Flubenvet instead. You could send off some poo samples to Retford's and then decide, although this is going to cost as much, if not more, than a tub of Flubenvet. Darren Beaumont
I have just ordered some flubenvet to be on the safe side. Thanks for the quick response

The Dogmother
It might also be worth checking whether they have any lice - a bad infestation can cause the feathers around the vent to clump together and trap the poo more easily.
