Help!

My chickens have taken to laying their eggs anywhere but in the coop. I think it started when it was v v hot a few weeks ago. They now find a place under bushes and lay their eggs there until I find the nest and remove the eggs, and then they find another nesting place and start again. It's a real pian in the neck - I even had to buy some eggs last week - I haven't bought eggs for over a year!

How can I get them laying in the eglu again?

You could try putting rubber eggs in the nest box. Or keeping them in the run for longer in the mornings, until they have laid?

I agree with Christian - try the rubber egg - or a golf ball. And can you block up the entrance to where they lay?
