Just been into our local Boots.

They have one of these reduced to £39.

I've been really happy with my Starter 30 - I decided I wouldn't use the other features and so I opted for this as a basic lamp. The Lumie is set slightly earlier than my radio alarm, so I wake up gently with the light and then the radio comes on - this also avoids any oversleeping!

I don't use the sunset, I just turn the light off when I'm ready to sleep but that's just my preference, you can let it fade slowly.

Well, I've been virtually sat on top of mt light since it arrived, and I can't say I have noticed any huge difference. :(

I have seen the GP again, and she thinks its more of a pain/depression cycle (I have fibromyalgia) and I need help from 'secondary care' whatever that means! Any way she has referred me, so perhaps the light was a shot in the dark? I won't give up on it yet though.

its certainly been interesting reading everyone elses experiences.

My local Boots don't have the Lumie one, and I really wanted that one for the bedroom too :wall: I wonder why its still the proper price on the website.

Anybody who wants one of these bodyclocks needs to telephone around their local Boots stores.

Hubby and I decided to pick up a cheaper one for son as he found the sunset feature relaxing last night. I telephoned my local Boots to see if they had any left and they said that they had packed them away to make room for the Christmas stock. I then telephoned Yarmouth and they had an bodyclock Elite 300 for £68, a bodyclock advanced 200 for £49 and a bodyclock starter 25 for £29. I picked up another Elite 300 as it was a real bargain.

Whoa!!!

I wish I'd persevered a bit more before ordering my advanced 200 direct from Lumie :(

Anyhow I really like it, I'm happy with the price I paid for it. I bought a reconditioned one in the end, & there's not a mark on it.

The only thing I'm struggling with is the sunrise. I want it to be a 15 minute one, with the alarm to go off at 7am, but the light comes on at 6.30 getting to full brightness at 6.45 :?

Any tips on what I'm doing wrong ? I know I could change the alarm time to be 7.15 so that the light is at full strength at 7am, but I also want the beeper to go off at that time as its the latest I can stay in bed till.

I've ordered my Lumie clock today :D

The last few mornings have been a monumental effort to get out of bed and I can't face spending the whole winter waking up in what feels like the middle of the night.

I went for the Bodyclock Starter 30 in the end; I would have loved the Elite 300 for the wave and dawn chorus sounds but I really couldn't justify spending so much extra money just for those features, it's the light that I'm really after!

Can't wait for it to arrive and to start feeling more zippy in the mornings again!

Edited to add: Ordered lunchtime yesterday, clock arrived at about 10am today. What great customer service! :D
