So Chickens do talk

Recommended Posts

Surely that has never been in any doubt!

Our ladies chat away to us in the morning - they tell me if they have had a good nights sleep, whether Frank the filty pigeon has been round to see them, and whether Flo survived the night laying next to Gloria in the nest box, without being subjected to Gloria's worm burps and trumps (she eats massive worms like a piece of spaghetti, throwing it up in the air and then downing it in one!) :vom:

We have a chat when we come back from work, giving us an update on their day in the run, recounting how long it took them to strip a whole sweetcorn cob, and why they now have sweetcorn juice on their combs.

Word on the street is that sweetcorn juice, liberally applied to the comb, wattles and beak is very "this season"....

I'll get my coat.... :whistle::whistle::whistle:

I think the great thing about sweetcorn juice from a fashion point of view is it's versatility. Betty is young and trendy, so likes to wear it all down her back, while Dusty - like your girls - likes to go for a classic style by wearing it on her head. Meanwhile Jim sometimes goes for a very glam-rock look by using sweetcorn juice to attach aubiose accessorises all around his chops.

Bloomin' chickens.
