The_eggwards_family
We have had our POL girls for a couple of weeks now and I wasnt expecting any eggs for a while as they are still so young (around 18 weeks now), although their combs and faces are getting redder by the day. Anyway, this morning, instead of charging out of the eglu three abreast as usual, only Mable and Lisa came out and Betty wwas still in the back of the eglu. She wandered out looking a bit dazed around a minute later................and lo and behold, there on the roosting bars at the back where Betty chills was a small, wet, warm perfectly formed little brown egg! It weighs 35g so is quite small, but all the same, Im quite proud of her! Well done Betty! off now to change m siggy
