Mrs P
How long does Baytril last? The vet gave us some in March - will it still be okay to use?
abwsco
Not sure but I wouldn't give it unless the vet says so.
Falkor
I believes it degrades if left in the light but that could be Tylan As Abwsco says best off speaking to and having it prescribed by the vet
Egluntyne
It is strictly speaking illegal to administer a POM V medicine without the permission of a vet. I wouldn't risk it as it may not be the appropriate treatment for whatever is ailing your hen.
Chucky Mama
If the bottle is unopened it should have an expiry date on it. If it has been dispensed into another bottle it is no longer sterile and therefore after this length of time could be contaminated and may not have been stored correctly. As said you should not self diagnose and medicate. I know that you are worried about your remaining hen but there is no reason to think that she needs a course of antibiotics is there?
