Girls were in their Eglu and I went out to close door when .................out shot a chicken closely followed by another - turbo powered nearly de-capitated her. Not the first time its happened - I;m a bag of nerves. Dont know if they expect a late night snack.

for three nights my 13 young birds have learnt that they go to bed in their shed and not in any old corner of the garden... except Beaker the chamois roo just sees mummy coming and disturbs everyone in a mad dash/scramble over the happily roosting siblings to come for a last mummy cuddle. It's not hard to smile at that tho even tho i do feel mean as i have a swift snuggle then chuck him back in!!
