Well I was going to repaint the walls and ceiling above the stairs. However 6 small tortoiseshell butterflies have decided tp hibernate in the top most corner of the ceiling right above the stairs 16' in fact. So I'm just going to leave the painting until next April when they'll fly off and lay their eggs on the nasty nettles. We're rather fond of butterflies, well maybe not the cabbage white.........

Excellent excuse, I've managed to find one every weekend for the last year not to paint the bathroom

Quick update there are now 7, and another flying around the bedroom.

I don't mind painting, but painting the stairs needs 2 ladders, 2 scaffold boards and a large step ladder balanced on the boards. It's a long way up and I'm not very fond of heights.plus the arthritis doesn't help......

It's much greener not to paint!! Not to mention painting stairwells should carry a health warning, especially if you've got arthritis!
