All three girls are now integrated in the WIR and the outside space, apart from leaving in the box which my brother made for the new girls to sleep in when they were separated which they have been using every night, the intention was to later on this week, take away the box and pop the new ones in the eglu when it was bedtime.

Well last evening i went to lock the WIR before work, and Barbara was nowhere to be seen, cue me running up the garden shouting "WE"VE LOST ONE" and as Barbara has 'flown' over the fence a couple of times I assumed she was somewhere in the garden which was worrying as it was getting gloomy and had visions of having to leave her out all night :anxious: at the mercy of who knows what. Cue OH with torch asking "have you checked the eglu?" and yes, there she was!!!! looking up at me as if to say "'scuse me! I'm trying to sleep!!" So I guess she's made her mind up so only have to persuade Margot now, she looked quite lonely getting into the box on her own last night so maybe I should remove the box tonight and see what happens (could really do with a chicken cam!!! :lol: )

This chicken keeping lark sure keeps you on your toes!!! Great isn't it? :lol:

:lol::lol:

I had a similar thing last week. My OH put the babies to bed in their separate eglu run but just assumed all 3 were in there (it was quite dark). The next morning I found the 3 old girls in the WIR and happened to glance in their eglu to find Steph sitting in there, quite happily, on her own :lol: . Still don't know how she got into the WIR in the first place :lol: .

:lol::lol: Little monkey's are doing their own thing. Don't they know you are boss.

Started putting my babies in the cube now and shut the door to their little house in the afternoons.

What a fuss, they jump up and down off the logs leading to the door and walk around their house then back up to the cube. Then one of the oldies pokes their head out and off they go again. :roll: I've taken to posting them in for a few days and hope they realise it's easier if they go to bed before the oldies.

Perhaps yours could have a word with them. :lol:

Tonight OH locked the door to the newbies little wooden box so that Margot might get the hint. At 6.30 both Barbara and Tikka had gone into the eglu but margot was making very loud, very strange noises I said she was shouting where the hell is my bed!!!!) So I tried to push her throught the eglu door, but she was having none of it. So I popped her through the egg port. Promptly Tikka came out, but after a few minutes she went back in. There was a bit a huffing and shuffling but then they seemed to settle....

Blooming heck, my kids weren't this much trouble............(actually DD was!!)

Hopefully this means 'all in together ' now!!!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh all over until next introductions!!!!!
