Peaches
This may be a daft question .... but I've been worrying as I've never had chickens over winter. They are putting themselves in their house at 6.30 pm now, and I let them out in the morning at 6.30-7am, so that's 12 hours without water. Will they get parched, so should I put water in the house with them? I'm loath to leave the house door open as my last girls got taken by a fox in our garden .... Chortle Chook
Thanks for asking that question (and for the answer) I've been wondering that too. They do seem to have a good drink the moment I let them out but it is good to know that they don't need me to try and fix their glug inside their house.
