scarlettohara
Would like to try some Garvo but not sure which to get - my girls prefer mash to pellets
Redwing
I'd get the normal layers mash The Alfa stuff tends to get very pricey if you have more than a couple of chooks Its fab feed

Heidi-Hi
I just started my lot on Garvo Layers Pellets yesterday. Had it in the shed for more than a week, but I was a good girl and used up their previous brand first, although I was very tempted just to chuck it and start with the Garvo. I can't wait to see whether they will really benefit from it. I've heard such good stuff about it. They seem to love it, which is a good sign
jess1merlin
Mine have Garvo layers mash which they love, the only problem is they won't eat anything else, except treats of course
Wolfie
Our four hens have Garvo layers mash, but I think you have to give them just enough for the day's supply of nosh, or they might be a little selective eating the best bits! They also have Alfamix (comes in 4kg bag at £8.00) as lure to get them into the grass run from walking from the walk in run. My Mum collects the eggs in the morning - whilst we're at work - and she gives them a bit of the Alfamix for them to "find" in the Aubiose in the walk in run. sparkysmum
Hi, my big ladies were on Garvo Alphamix but it was just too costly although they loved it . They now get Alphamix in the afternoons only and Wiggly Wigglers layers mash in the morning The sablepoots are on Garvo growers minipellets. They love it as do the pekins who share with them. I have to say I think Garvo is brilliant - the hens love it & thrive on it. A top breeder/show person I know uses Garvo for all her ladies & her furniture is groaning under the weight of trophies
