Tiggy

Tom cat invader

Recommended Posts

he is a lovely freindly very LARGE fellow who seems to want to move into our house but my 2 girls are not impressed, Tiggy (real one) is 22 & just snarls at him so he leaves her alone but little Molly is terrified & just trembles & wees herself, He just wont stay out. I shut the cat flap at night but he has been sneaking in & hiding & I find him snuggled up on our sofa in the morning. Most times my 2 are screaming at him in the middle of the night & there are lumps of fur all over my breakfast room this morning where there had been a fight.

I took him into a local vet to see if they recognised him & check if he was chipped, the vet added him to their weekly lost cat ad in the local paper, & Ive been knocking doors locally people seem to recognise him but dont know where he lives. He dosnt have a collar & now things in my house are despirate whith Molly too frightened to go out & going to the loo on the floor :( Any ideas, I dont want to bee horrid to him but I think that a face full from a big water pistol may be in order

I think the water pistol is a very good idea - it wont hurt him, but it will make him think that your place is not worth the effort.

is your cats' food anywhere near the cat flap? if so I would move it if you can, so it's not easy for him to get at. other than that, lock your cat flap to 'out only' (and remember to check to let your girls in!!)?

Put a collar on him with your details asking his owner to contact you. At least that way you'll find out if he genuinely is a stray or not. Your local branch of Cats Protection should also do the same and get him registered on their waiting list to bring him in if he is a stray.
