With OH on leave for a couple of weeks then back to the Gulf this week until next year??? March maybe later.

I have just done an early family Christmas Day.....Turkey and everything for.....14 .

Everyone loves their presents and recovering from Hang overs ( except me i don't drink.)

The house is back to normal and starting to Pack OH ready to go.....

.. Had a wonderful time.

......Got to do it all for real in 4 wks time.....

my BIL is away over Christmas so we have a pre- and post- christmas with lots of nice things and presents too

 

Hope OH's visit to the Gulf is ok.

OH promises to be careful if you know him then .....

I think the younger GC are a bit confused, so we called it Happy Grandads Christmas....they want to know if Santa will come when he visits everyone else in December ....we had to assure them he will.

Had a couple of very worried faces for a while...

But we just had a fantastic day............wonder when we'll get to celebrate the New year ???? June?????

I'd like it to be normal but will have to wait for the OH to actually decide he has had enough and comes home to retire. Got a good 10 + years to wait.......I'll be too worn out to do much with him then

Sounds like a lovely family time. We will celebrate with most of our family the week before Christmas, then come home and spend a quiet Christmas day with just the 5 of us then my grandad and Uncle on Boxing day.

2 years ago we had turkey and all the trimmings for Thursday night tea a month before Christmas when a friend left the door open on his freezer and defrosted a turkey that he had put in there the previous Chritmas. It was a lovely free range bird that he had frozen when his Christmas plans changed.

New Year was last night Lots to drink, DVD's and cheese supper with fruit.

OH .... is a bit sore headed today but managed to complete his packing.....Kit every where!

Still he will be fine tomorrow when i drive him to the airport...coming South for the off.

Do hope the weather isn't too bad...snow forecast......

OH would rather keep the snow than be heading for sandy climates, i would just rather keep OH.
