DebC
Went out to see the girls this morning, and take them water to replace the ice, before I went to work. Around the WIR were a set of tracks. Too big for a cat, and looked more like a dog's track. So I think the fox has been around to inspect the WIR run and check the girls are all OK - isn't that kind of him?! Will be out again in the morning to see if he's visited again. Its a good job I have a sturdy run.
Sam
Were there any signs of him trying to get in?! He might be a kind fox... but I'm sure he will also be a hungry fox! I'd watch out if I were you!
DebC
No, I always check for signs of him trying to get in, as I've seen him around during the day. Which is why the WIR is as sturdy as it is. It will just be interesting to have evidence of how often he actually does visit!

skye
Me too. 4, then a gap. 4, then a gap. He may have been 'cantering' around our garden. A bit of lingering under the tree where the bird feeder is. Then the ominous tracks towards the door of the run. No sign of anything on top of the cube, or around the back of the cube though. skye x
craftyhunnypie
I heard a sniffing last night on the CCTV - just before I went bed. I couldn't see anything & no tracks - so could it have been a hedgehog or a dogwalker? Emma.x
skye
Let's hope it was just a passerby, craftyhunnypie! At least we have the telltale snow tracks to keep us informed as to overnight visitors at the moment! skye x
lillybettybabs
No fox tracks here, Having kenneled dogs near to the chickens helps with that, But Mr Mole has popped up in the run, The girls went mad this morning! I think he may get pecked if he sticks his head out!
