StephenW
Hi Was wondering how much pullets should get of growers mash aday before they are weaned on to layers pellets? Thanks Stephen
jill the potter
By no means an expert, but is it not to do with their age. I understand you shouldn't get them onto LP until 16 weeks or more, and I'm sure there is no rush over the winter. Anyway someone with more expertise should be along in the morning. Egluntyne
They should have as much as they want. Don't limit them to a certain amount. Leave food out for them to help themselves ad lib during the day, and if you have a problem with vermin, bring it in at night.
sjp
rule of thumb start with about 25% layers to 75% growers then slowly increase the layer over a 2 week period thats what the books say. but I've just put my 2 growers in with the big girls and straight on to layers in the last month with no problems but then they have been stealing the layers pelletts since they were about a month old
