Martin B
Maybe you should have researched it before hatching! The ducklings will first of all need to go into a brooder, which could be a spacious cardboard box with a heat lamp suspended above it, the heat spot within the rooder should be around 30-32 degrees celcius! The eglu itself should not have the roosting bars in if you are keeping ducks in it. The best bedding for the whole eglu is straw!
barneykbeach
thank you, they are already in a brooder, thats what i thought but i thought i'd check with some one knowledgable
Lesley
Once they are old enough to go out into the Eglu, you can use straw or something like Aubiose/Hemcore. Ours are on straw because we have plenty of it and they are OK with it.
